snagit

You can find an old free copy of snagit on this forum:

http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?p=1019873

It says the company is giving away old copies to entice people to upgrade, but for me the old is just fine.

You'll see a sample of snagit shortly.

idli sambar

there's a cyclone in Oman

wtf

nobody says it's our fault, everyone's just concerned about the oil

we need to make sure our shipping lanes are open, because we do so many important things with that oil

if the storm (god forbid) disrupts our oil supply what the shit shall we do

we're doomed!

that's what they say in the hit film "hysterical" from the 1980's

this summer is the dryest on record for los angeles and the mayor told the people there to stop taking showers

wouldn't a slight change in corporate conservation make more sense than having millions of LA people stop showering

isn't the dirty look in in LA anyway?

or is that another city?

Tijuana?

Cairo?

What dirty city do you live in?

This evening I had a craving for some of that tamarind broth they give you when you order "Thali" style in Indian restaurants, I didn't even know what it is, but am sure it's also called "Thali-filler so we can rip you off and give you some slightly tasty water" - but it is damn good, i find out it's called "sambar" and you eat it for breakfast on rice!

yes!

now if there were only a way to incorporate some thai beer in there then we'd be all set
and some shrimp ceviche

paso doble
we're doomed!

divorced from orc?

London - William Blake

I wandered through each chartered street,
Near where the chartered Thames does flow,
A mark in every face I meet,
Marks of weakness, marks of woe.

In every cry of every man,
In every infant's cry of fear,
In every voice, in every ban,
The mind-forged manacles I hear:

How the chimney-sweeper's cry
Every blackening church appals,
And the hapless soldier's sigh
Runs in blood down palace-walls.

But most, through midnight streets I hear
How the youthful harlot's curse
Blasts the new-born infant's tear,
And blights with plagues the marriage-hearse.

un sueno

Another dream I had last night:

Ran into/sought out an old friend with whom I have lost contact. This old friend suggested some kind of complicated scheme involving his friends, that we would all meet up somewhere and arrange some sort of reunion.

This failed for some reason. The other people messed up, my friend dropped the ball, everything fell apart. My friend took me aside and said "If you ever need to be published, I'll publish you, don't forget that."

That was it.

I think this friend is unreliable.

Then I had a dream I was running on the freeway really fast and passed a white VW camper van from the 70's on the left, its door was open and these curtains were flapping in the wind.

That was it what I recall.

alien contact

Another dream:

Aliens landed on earth in this bright light. Everyone was going crazy and didn't know what to do so I decided to talk to them.

There was a tall old man and a short woman, both with features that I couldn't see well.

I was showing them my cd collection. The tall man didn't like most of them but when he saw Stravinksy he said "That one is good, very good."

That's it for now.

truth

I wonder about mysticism sometimes, I am intrigued but cautiously distant from becoming too excited about it. It seems that most every philosopher and religious person has an initial moment of inspiration, I mean, there is usually one person who has a religious moment, then they write about it or tell others, then the others jump on that bandwagon, put on official uniforms and then build a religion, philosophy, church group, tv show based on that initial person.

These levels get filtered down until the original meanings are dispersed into nothingness.

IE: Joyce Meyers

Nothingness. Check out Hegel, one of every grad students masturbatory keyword. His initial inspiration was this other dude (jakob bohme) who was so wacked out he couldn't get a comprehensive philosophy of his own going. Not to mention you know, those religious figures that people say mean something that they didn't even ever say.

So?

So there underneath it all, lies something that only crazy people and children can see for some reason. Something people call God or truth or neurons or whatever.

My question would be that why does it have to be underneath? Why can't someone just say, ok God is...?

Muslims say God is God. That's pretty cool. But then why are so many people following men? Men are men, God is God, religious leaders are animals, God is God, dog is dog, cat means snap, crackle, pop.

WTF
