Once Vincente Fox signs the Congressionally passed bill, it will be legal in Mexico for people to have the following on their persons:
Marijuana 5 grams, about 4 joints
Heroin, 25 milligrams
Opium (raw) 5 grams
Cocaine 500 milligrams, about 4 lines
LSD .015 milligrams
MDMA (ecstasy) 200 milligrams
Peyote: 1 kilogram
Methamphetamines: 200 milligrams
Who needs a kilo of peyote?
Wouldn't that be like a suitcase sized bag?
I'm not sure about the impact of this law on things but I think that it will create even more border traffic with gringos, especially high-school and college gringos, heading down south for some legal smoke time.
Maybe even staying there.
