bad news for socerers in kuwait

this comes from the daily star newspaper in kuwait:

Tougher measures against sorcerers

KUWAIT: MP Waleed AlـTabtabaie on Wednesday put forward a new proposal calling for more stringent penalties against those engaged in witchcraft sorcery.
The legislator proposed a penalty of ten years imprisonment and a fine of at least 5,000 Kuwaiti dinars for anyone caught practicing any form of sorcery.
In the same vein, the Islamist MP has called for similar penalties against potential accomplices, noting that anyone found to be engaged in the importation, possession or sale of materials used in sorcery should be subjected to a fiveـyear jail sentence as well as a fine of 3,000 Kuwaiti dinars.
Dwelling on the dangers of sorcery, he argued that this practice has enormous physical and mental ramifications on people with potentially fatal effects. ـ Agencies
